I/P Based Advance Nurse Call Monitoring System

iNCMS-R-7 – Intelligent I/P based Advanced Nurse Call
Monitoring System as per DIN VDE 0834

 

INTRODUCTION:

iNCMS-r-7 is a intelligent nurse call monitoring system by which a patient can contact with care personals(nurse) in

case of emergency with a single button press (call button on patient hand set).

This robust system consists of patient hand set, bed side call unit, door display unit, 12 port hub, nuse station sever,

central server, shower pull cord, toilet emergency unit, emergency reset unit.

A data login system keeps track of each call with details of date, time of call, service time, time taken to resolve a

call etc.

This system is capable of identifying the importance of a call and takes measures accordingly.

HOW TO CALL CARE PERSONALS (NURSE)

Step 1:- Patient can draw attention of care personals (Nurse) by pressing call button from patient hand set or from

bed side call unit. When call button is pressed call indicator glows with red color. This indicates that call is passing.

Step 2:- When a call is make it will show the room and bed number on the nurse station display will a soft buzzer and

voice announcement. Call indicator of nurse station server will blink. Also the same room and bed number along with

ward, call type and call time is shown on central server display.

Step 3:- The call will be acknowledged by pressing acknowledge button on nurse station server.

Step 4:- After acknowledgement wait indicator of bed side cal unit and patient hand set will glow. Voice announcement will

stop. Door indicator will blink with yellow color.

Step 5:- If call generated from patient hand set or from bed side call unit not attend within 3 minutes then it will go to

the emergency section at nurse station display. Text color will be red and voice announcement will announce emergency

with continuous buzzer until the call is reset at bed side call unit. At the central server call type will change to emergency with red background.

HOW TO CALL CARE PERSONAL (NURSE) IN CASE OF EMERGENCY
FROM BATHROOM OR TOILET

Step 1:- Patient can draw attention from bathroom or toilet by pulling the shower pull cord from shower pull cord unit or by pressing
call button from toilet emergency unit. This call will be treated as emergency call.

Step 2:- When a call is make it will show the toilet or bathroom name or number on the nurse station display will a continues

soft buzzer and voice announcement. Call indicator of nurse station server will glow staidly. Also the same bathroom or toilet

number along with ward, call type and call time is shown on central server display.

Step 3:- The call will be acknowledged by pressing acknowledge button on nurse station server.

Step 4:- After acknowledgment wait indicator of shower pull cord or toilet emergency unit will glow. Voice announcement

will stop. Door indicator will blink with yellow color.

PROCEDURE TO SERVICE  (RESET) THE CALL

Step 1:- A call generated from patient hand set or from bed side call unit or toilet emergency unit must be reset by pressing

reset button on the same bed side call unit or emergency reset unit.

Step 2:- After reset wait indicator of corresponding devices will off. Door indicator will glow stable green indicator if there

are no other pending call. Corresponding room and bed number will disappear from nurse station display and central server display.

HOW TO MAKE HIGHEST
PRIORITY (CODE BLUE) CALLS

Step 1:- Code Blue call is generated in case of critical condition of a patient. Code Blue call could generated if and only

if a normal call or emergency call is pending from the bed. If not, first make normal call and then generate code blue.

Step 2:- Code Blue call is generated by pressing blue button from bed side call unit.

Step 3:- After making Code Blue call corresponding room and bed number will enter into code blue section with soft buzzer

and voice announcement. Normal or emergency call pending status will clear

Code Blue indicator at bed side call unit will glow..

Door indicator will blink with red color.

Central server change the call type code blue with blue background.
